The Parthenon with Words, Cats, Puzzles and a Fork

This week we have all been quite busy with this and that. Julian has been studying Ancient Greek History. We read about the building of the Parthenon. That inspired him to build one on his own with blocks. He really likes history.

In science, we have been studying cats. The kids anticipate what animals we will study each day. Yesterday we talked about different wildcats. Today we talked about domestic kittens and cats. There is a picture of Julian with his yummy cat lunch.

Maddie has been working very hard with reading this year. I took a little photo of her reading a new section of her reader.
She has just learned about the silent E and trying out some long vowel sounds. She is a student with a lot of determination. Madelyn is disciplined and motivated.

Kalen has been into puzzles lately. When Scott picked up Kalen from his class at church, the worker said that he was great with puzzles. He puts on his serious face and goes at it.

Brayden surprised us today with his skills with a fork. In one of the photos, Kalen is giving his brother a thumbs up for good work. Our little B is growing up!
