We started our weekend off celebrating our little friend, Asher. He is turning 2. Scott went to a conference at Va. Tech last night and presenting a paper there today. He will be rejoining us this afternoon for JJ's soccer game.
This morning I decided to take the kid's out for breakfast. This is a special treat and only happens like once a month. The kids absolutely loved it. We also did some grocery shopping and piddling around Chapel Hill and Carrboro.

This is my sweet friend Andrea (she is the one I meet with on Tuesday nights). She is seven months pregnant and went to the trouble of fixing vegan cupcakes with vegan toppings for everyone. They all loved the cupcakes. What an amazing friend to love on us this way.
Vegan kids don't miss out on anything!

I just love getting out with my kids this way too. Sometimes it is easier to play and truly enjoy their personalities when you are away from the house (and that long list of duties/chores we have in our heads all the time).
